Multisportz is a large (and ever growing) database of the endurance events that you and I love to race, spectate, support, and just generally be involved in. For many, it's our world outside of the ordinary 9-to-5 life. Some call it a lifestyle. A lucky (and talented) few get to call it "work".
Multisportz however is more than just a database, it's a modern digital platform made up of many different parts. It's an information ecosystem that aims to get people outdoors in order to reconnect with the physical world, and reconnect with each other through sports, competition and camaraderie. It aims to help rebuild communities and friendships in the real world, not the digital world (oh the irony!).
At the heart of it, Multisportz is all about browsability and social connection. It's designed to let you easily search and explore what's happening in the world of triathlon and endurance sports. What's on today, tomorrow, next weekend, or 9 months from now? What's local and what's on the other side of the world? What can I enter, and what can I stream/watch online? It allows you to find and follow events thereby getting notifications in your pocket about them. It's also designed to let you know who will be there. You can find and follow friends and see what they're getting up to - maybe you want to join in and race with them at a particular event, or perhaps avoid an event for competitive reasons (e.g. chasing a Kona slot). Or maybe you're apart of the WAGs, HABs, CHAPs, MAGs or SADs crew and want to support your favourite athlete(s) from the sidelines. What about volunteering? We've got that covered too! Whatever your involvement it's nice to know who's going to be there - for some it's a critical and deciding factor.
In many ways, Multisportz is also a travel company. You could easily find and book holidays around an event schedule. Who says all great holidays should be defined as sipping cocktails in a hammock on a secluded beach? A lot of people in "our world" like to earn their holiday, and THEN put their feet up to reflect on the success of their efforts.
As for the event organizers, the wonderful teams of people that create these amazing events for us to "play" at, wouldn't it be nice if there was an easy way to find a suitable date and venue for your next event, a date/venue that avoids clashes with other events and guarantees the best possible turnout. Imagine a platform that has all the events in it, the world over. Imagine doing all that from your smartphone in only a few minutes?
